That tornado touched down in my sister’s neighborhood literally about 50′ from her house. Her house had most of it’s windows blown out and heavy damage but the structure was largely intact. My brother-in-law was the one who found the 2 year old that died. He performed CPR on her for 15 min before the paramedics took over.
My nephew also helped pull a 4 year old boy out of a pond who wasn’t breathing. AT the time he told me about it, he said the boy had died but it turns out the paramedics were able to get him breathing.
Pretty heart wrenching to hear about this stuff first hand.

Grant,
Thanks for the comment. I heard about the 4 year old pulling through. I have seen this kind of destruction on television, but have never witnessed it first-hand. I talked to a woman who’s house was completely demolished. The only thing left standing was the cement foundation and the lawn tractor.
Let me know if your sister might need any sort of help.
We live down 61 a bit from the worst hit, and our hearts go out to those families with losses. I have never witnessed anything like this in my life.
The city is taking volunteers for cleanup efforts starting Saturday 5/31 at 8:00 in the morning. Check out the cities website for more details.

Hey bro,
Thanks for posting the pictures. I’m very glad Mom called before I saw the news! So sad, wish I could be there to help in some way. I’m continuing to pray, so thankful ya’ll are safe and have minor damage. Thanks for posting the pictures!
